    Assists in the procurement of material and equipment for the district; follows established purchasing procedures to process bids and purchase orders.

    • Model core organizational beliefs and values; perform duties in an effective and efficient manner for the purpose of supporting and contributing to high student achievement.
    • Prepare and maintain vendor database; including set up of new vendors and changes to current vendors
    • Manage vendor W9 and other legal documentation
    • Process purchase orders; ensure accuracy of bid-related/sole source purchases; request additional information from departments/campuses for purchase orders that are incomplete.
    • Assist with expediting emergency purchase orders.
    • Verify authorization of price increase with director prior to receiving goods.
    • Detect and resolve problems with incorrect orders, invoices, and shipments.
    • Assist with campus/departmental training on entry of requisitions in the system.
    • Assist campus/departmental personnel with approved vendors and correct purchasing procedures.
    • Maintain customer/vendor relations and address vendor concerns.
    • Monitor purchase order report for over-balance accounts.
    • Utilize effective communication skills; ensure that all interactions are supportive, courteous, and respectful.
    • Maintain confidentiality.
    • Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.
    • Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
    • Comply with the Employee Standards of Conduct.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation Proficiency skills in typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance Knowledge of basic mathematical computations
    • Ability to use a calculator
    • Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing

    QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification:
    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Two (2) years successful clerical experience
    • Experience in public education environment (preferred)

    • Maintain emotional control under stress
    • Work with frequent interruptions Prolonged use of computer
    • Repetitive hand motions
    • Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending and reaching
    • Occasional lifting and moving of up to 25 lbs.
