Provide orientation and assistance to parents and community member at multiple locations in person, through phone and written communications.
Research, plan, organize and conduct campus and community level parent meetings

Train, administer, score and track various needs assessments
Attend and participate in special events and serve on committees as required.
Utilize effective communication skills: ensure that all interactions with students, District personnel, parents, and community members are supportive, courteous, and respectful.
Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.
Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
Comply with the Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Ability to be patient, flexible, and versatile
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Dyslexia training (preferred)
Successful experience working with children and parents preferably in an educational setting
Two (2) years successful experience working with children in an educational setting. (Dyslexia teaching experience preferred)
Maintain emotional control under stress
Work with frequent interruptions
Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, bending, and kneeling
Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.

SUMMARY: Supports activities to ensure supplemental instruction for all identified dyslexic students at a selected Keller ISD Title I campus are delivered. Serves as a supplemental resource for both curriculum and instructional information to provide strategies for teachers and administrators. Assists in diagnosing areas of strength and weakness in the instructional program as outlined in the dyslexia grant and prescribe strategies for improvement.
